WANDERING THE RAIN FOREST OF LIFFEY FALLS

Liffey Falls, Tasmania

Liffey Falls, Tasmania.

Reached within an hours drive from both Launceston or Devonport. Liffey Falls is the perfect road trip for the waterfall lover.

The dirt road into the falls is a bit scary. Narrow and peppered with pot holes. But the effort is well worth the bumpy ride.

The 1km pathway winds down from the car park into the valley below. Passing the 4 beautiful tiered cascading waterfalls found along the river. Each cascade has its own name. Starting with Alexandra Falls, then Hopetoun Falls, the aptly named Spout Falls is next and ending with Victoria Falls.

The pathway is surrounded by rain forests and ferns. And some great viewing platforms along the way.
